Greetings, Smiley! Happy Monday. Welcome to the end of \"Thrillers, Series.\" Which is excellent series: Three books that team you with a questing hero / anti-hero with an ever-shifting quest and the coldly beautiful, ruthlessly competent baddie that only thrills, and you know what? They all worked together even better -- again, really really really -- and even saved your butt a number of times, and -- KILL THEM ALL? OK, great. You should be dead today, remember? And not just dead, but dead would be better. Because you have just finished one of those books that finally, finally worked this whole \"I want to be killed\" part of me right out of my skin, but you survived -- and you're feeling good, right? So good you feel all warm and squishy inside, then? And you're going to go home, and give that warm-and-squishy feeling to the people who are aching to read your reviews, and give them the thrill they really, really, really (my emphasis) deserve. You're ready to do this? Great, then, let's jump in. You know the drill. This is series in which I act like a cat that's got half a dozen balls in it's mouth, spit all over the keyboard and then meow. Or snarl. Or growl. You know what? -- Growl. Doesn't matter. Anyway, this is the final entry in my \"Thrillers, Series,\" called \"Gavok\" (although maybe I should have called it \"Rites of Kilriss\" because that's a whole lotta'*) -- which is to say, this is the last installment in my original series about three books by a guy named Christopher Pike that allow you to be killed by a flesh hungry alien who looks like a flesh eating alien. And the guy who writes these books is a non-stop bad-ass. Not to be confused with the other guy who writes thrillers about agents in foreign countries a single tough guy who... um, I'm on a roll now. Pow. I got'm again. OK, anyway. Back to the first story: \"Thrillers, Series.\" This story is just as much about the alien as it is about the three semi-fictional characters with whom we play to learn how awesome death is. But I digress. 7211a4ac4a
