Also, i have been getting messages that you have it backed up all over the place11:45Rachel H. Lewiston, ME:An automated message goes out a week after there is no connection with the server and every week up to a month, you did not receive any emails back in January?11:46Diane S.:no, i have been thinking things were safe - if i got a message, I would have thought that it was just at that moment and had been cleared up.11:47Diane S.:certainly if you billed me in Feb, I would think everything is ok11:48Rachel H. Lewiston, ME:One moment while I look into something.11:50Rachel H. Lewiston, ME:Our records show an alert was sent out regarding your backup not progressing back in January.
This is unbelievable.11:56Rachel H. Lewiston, ME:I am sorry for your loss, we do send the email alerts direct from the server to our customers. Unfortunately we cannot control if the receiving email provider does not filter the emails correctly.11:57Diane S.:please explain how you can bill for a service that you do not provide.11:58Rachel H. Lewiston, ME:The account was set up for an automatic billing, this is processed separately from the backup server itself. It is not dependent on whether the backup is actively running or not as some customers may be between computers or leaving the account in recover mode for one reason or another.11:59Rachel H. Lewiston, ME:In the end it is reliant on the customer to get the alerts or monitor their own account to ensure everything is running properly as things can happen out of the ordinary, as with any computer program.Monetary Loss: $5000.
You be the judge. Here is my chat:(14:21:00) A secure encrypted SSL connection has been established.(14:21:03) Your support representative will be with you shortly. This session may be recorded for quality assurance.(14:21:03) By continuing to use this application (which includes but not limited to, granting access to and/or viewing of your computer) you are agreeing to the following: Full Terms & Conditions(14:21:04) This session has been transferred to Jessica.(14:21:05) You are now chatting with Jessica.(14:21:18) Jessica said to you:Good evening ***** and thank you for contacting Carbonite! One moment please while I bring up your information.(14:21:46) You said to Jessica:I am an IT Technician for *************. Who gave you authorization to change our password to the admin account??(14:22:01) Jessica said to you:We did a mass password reset this afternoon for all of our customers and each customer should be receiving an email soon asking them to set up a new password. Our security systems detected that a third party was attempting to access customer accounts using emails and passwords obtained elsewhere so we decided to take some preemptive action against it.(14:22:24) You said to Jessica:You failed to answer the question(14:22:56) Jessica said to you:We did not change any password, we disabled the current ones.(14:23:10) You said to Jessica:you do not have that authority(14:23:47) You said to Jessica:For your protection and the safety of your data, we have reset the password on your account. To access your account, you must choose a new, secure password.(14:24:00) You said to Jessica:This action is being taken proactively and at this time there is no evidence to indicate that your account or data have been compromised. Your backups are safe and your regular backup schedule will continue(14:24:58) You said to Jessica:I will ask again, who gave you the authority??(14:26:02) Jessica said to you:As a Carbonite customer it is our imperative to make sure that your data is secure at all times by any means necessary, including requesting password resets when a potential breach of data security is detected. This was not done maliciously, it was done to protect your data. I apologize that you are inconvenience by this, but we reset 100% of our user's passwords, not just you.(14:28:43) You said to Jessica:If you want to enforce a policy, you do that from a login screen with a prompt notification, that is BASIC computer security. A company that decides for themselves to reset the password for the entire database of users is a company that has failed to properly secure and provide for customer needs and usage.(14:29:50) Jessica said to you:If you would like to bring this up to the correct team, I would recommend that you email either [email protected] or [email protected] I am only technical support, I do not decide when passwords get reset or if they do and have no say in what happens then.(14:29:55) You said to Jessica:I have never had a company send me an email that THEY changed a password and you need to click this link to reset the password, except when someone is trying a phishing scam on a user!!(14:31:10) You said to Jessica:Then once again WHO GAVE YOU THE AUTHORITY. I have tried to call but I guess you opened a shit storm by changing the password of the entire user account database!!(14:33:56) Jessica said to you:Our senior management decided that this was the best course of action to ensure account security. Again, I have no say in this and you are more than welcome to send an email to [email protected] or [email protected] with your concerns.
I have a carbonite account (which does allow for me to manage my own encryption key) and got the same email, went to the site and changed my pw without issue. I already knew using the same pw across accounts was a bad idea, though tbh I was doing it anyway out of laziness.
Rubie's didn't immediately respond to a request for comment, but this isn't the only Han-in-carbonite product the company sells. There's also a candy dish, a foam statue and a wall decoration, all featuring poor, gray Han in that famous hands-up pose. Rubie's is the manufacturer, so you'll have to find the product at a retailer, but it's already showing up at Entertainment Earth for $59.99 (£45, AU$83).
Hello, I would like to recover old deleted chats in whatsapp. I have my android phone set to back up automatically every week. I have read that the last back up overrides the last one. Is that mean that I can only recuperate the chats from the last week or I can also get the ones I have been erasing for almost a year? Can you please help?
However today when I opened the WhatsApp app I suddenly got a message which said something like « Your chat history stopped working. You can restore your data by clicking on Restore ». I chose Restore but it actually only restored empty group discussions, without any messages inside, and no discussion were restored. Then, in the WhatsApp settings I checked my backup settings and saw there was a Google Drive backup dated of January (which corresponds to the moment I originally transferred my data from my old Windows Phone) and a local backup from February (which contains important new messages arrived in the meantime).
hello please i need urgently help from you i m loose WhatsApp groups and some previous chats when i failed to restore chat and i was click skip instead of restore. so how can i back up my message please i need your help
Carbonite back up is not unlimited. If you delete a file from your lap top carbonite deletes the back up file after 30 days. In effect, you have to keep a local copy of every file you back up on the device from which you backed it up to keep the file stored with Carbonite. This means that your back up is limited to the size of the drive (device) that you backed up. For example, if you backed up a 300 GB laptop, your Carbonite stored files will be limited to 300 gigs for that device. Delete files on the laptop and they delete them from your backup files
One of the highlights from D23 Expo 2019 last week was undoubtedly the release of the trailer for The Mandalorian. It's atmospheric, intense, and filled with action, offering our first real look at the world of the series, which will debut on Disney+ on November 12. Which moment did you love the most? Good quality box, easy to install. Light enough to toss around, but it's awkward shape and size make it a bit tricky solo but can be easily done. The cargo net accessory is a perfect tie down solution and has hooks aligned in the exact locations to hit the tie down points. The shipper was a little dodgy, but this is not the fault of yakima in the least and I did get everything in tact.... just not on the date their tracking indicated, and my stuff wound up showing up on two different days. This is on the freight company though. Just a nuisance is all. Box makes very little wind noise. Locking system and hinges seem fantastic!! Very pleased with this purchase.
JABBA Boscka! He pushes a button and, before the dancer can flee,a trap door in the floor springs open and swallows her up. As the doorsnaps shut, a muffled growl is followed by a hideous scream. Jabba andhis monstrous friends laugh hysterically and several revelers hurry overto watch her fate through a grate. Threepio cringes and glances wistfullyat the carbonite form of Han Solo, but is immediately distracted by a gunshotoffscreen. An unnatural quiet sweeps the boisterous gathering. On the farside of the room, the crush of debauchers moves aside to allow the approachof two guards followed by BOUSHH, an oddly cloaked bounty hunter, leading his captive, Han Solo's copilot, CHEWBACCA THE WOOKIEE.Bib takes his place next to his disgusting master, and whispers into hisear, pointing at Chewbacca and the bounty hunter. Jabba listens intently, then the bounty hunter bows before the gangster and speaks a greeting ina strange, electronically processed tongue (Ubese).
At the side of the pit, an iron door rumbles upward and a giant, fanged RANCOR emerges. The guard runs to the side of the pit and triesfutilely to scramble to the top. The hideous beast closes in on him. TheRancor moves past Luke, and as the guard continues to scramble, the Rancorpicks him up and pops him into its slavering jaws. A few screams, and theguard is swallowed with a gulp. The audience cheers and laughs at the guard'sfate. The monster turns and starts for Luke. The young Jedi dashes awayjust ahead of the monster's swipe at him, and picks up the long arm boneof an earlier victim. The monster grabs Luke and brings him up to his salivatingmouth. At the last moment, Luke wedges the bone in the monster's mouthand is dropped to the floor. The monster bellows in rage and flails about, hitting the side of the pit, causing an avalanche. The monster crushesthe bone in its jaws and sees Luke, who squeezes into a crevice in thepit wall. Luke looks past the monster to the holding cave beyond. On thefar side of the holding cave is a utility door--if only he can get to it.The Rancor spots Luke and reaches into the crevice for him. Luke grabsa large rock and raises it, smashing it down on the Rancor's finger. 2b1af7f3a8
